With the success of last years' MIDL satellite event, MIDL Doctoral Symposium, we are thrilled to announce that on the 9th of July 2022, the second MIDL Doctoral Symposium will take place! The event will be held as a separate hybrid satellite event conjuring MIDL 2022 in Zürich and is specifically designed for young researchers to connect and learn from each other.
The MIDL Doctoral Symposium 2022 will be a full-day event with a virtual morning lecture session and an afternoon session with in-person extracurricular activities. This way, students can develop their scientific knowledge and connect in person with fellow students. An informal get-together with dinner for the evening is planned to wrap up MIDL 2022.
The selection process includes applications and candidates with high motivation who are in an early stage of their research career.

For those participating in person, we will have optional lunch to meet and connect while fueling up for the afternoon activities. (Paid by participants)
14:30 - 18:30 In-person social event - Hike & Games
While in Switzerland, hiking is a must! If the weather permits, we will hike along the ridge of Zürich’s own mountain, Uetliberg. So bring your sporting shoes and join us while exploring Zürich from above with the alps on the horizon. While hiking, we will also have social activities and games for everyone to connect and meet fellow students from other universities. The hike will end at lake Zürich where we will take the boat back to ETH.
18:30 - ? In-person dinner
Together, we will enjoy a relaxed, informal dinner where food and drinks will be provided. Participants can socialize and stay as long as they like.
